As\u00a0the first off-the-shelf marketing automation and eCRM solution for e-stores, it collects and analyzes data on the behaviors of store visitors, and sends personalized, automatic messages, adapted to the visitors&#8217;\u00a0operations on the web. This way, it allows e-stores to increase their\u00a0<span id=\"urn:enhancement-dc7b9971\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">sales<\/span> figures.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system is quick and easy to implement and features the same functions as other complicated marketing automation tools. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How did edrone\u00a0start?<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to create a reliable system that would allow to better present the idea behind eBusiness to the customers, and to engage them into it,&#8221; says <strong>Michal Blak<\/strong>, the Co-founder and CEO at edrone.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3320 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Micha\u0142-Blak-02-e1493369407638.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/>\n<p>&#8220;The system functioned as CRM for eBusiness, so basically for any Internet website. We quickly realized that we need to make a tough decision \u2013 to either develop our system further or to completely reshape our strategy. We took the risk, and today we have software only focused on e-stores. We&#8217;ve created a new category of eCRM product,&#8221; he adds.<\/p>\n<h2>How has your company developed since then?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Our team currently includes 18 people, including 8 programmers, which means that nearly 50% of our staff\u00a0works solely on ensuring reliable operation of our system and expanding the range of functionality offered to the online stores,&#8221; Michal sums up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The innovativeness of edrone lies in the fact that the system is based on machine learning and artificial intelligence operations. Recently, we also introduced push notifications that allow to communicate with the client in real time, and to display to them\u00a0content based on what they are\u00a0doing and what products they are\u00a0browsing at the\u00a0store at the moment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3332 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2_2-e1494341683563.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"698\" height=\"465\" \/>\n<h2>Who are your ideal customers?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Michal Konieczny<\/strong>, who with over 5-year experience in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-d015de24\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">sales<\/span> and marketing takes care of edrone&#8217;s new <span id=\"urn:enhancement-493dc02d\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">business<\/span>, tells us a bit about their ICP.<\/span><\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3321 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Micha\u0142-Konieczny-02-e1493369431541.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/>\n<p>&#8220;Our ideal customers are online store owners, investing budgets in an online advertisement \u2013 especially ones that are open to technological novelties. Customers that never allow themselves to be left behind by the competition,&#8221; Michal points out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These days, those online stores that do not make use of marketing automation and eCRM type solutions hold too little knowledge on the visitors of their websites, causing themselves to be quickly eliminated from the market. \u00a0Their customers probably never receive personalized messages adapted to their needs and sent at the right time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>How do you get you prospect base?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;In inbound, the basic source of acquiring clients is the Google search engine and co-operating with agencies and software houses. Additionally, we are active on social media and our blog, where we publish guides and educational articles. Also, our New <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e72cc909\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Business<\/span> section is marking our presence in social media. We also obtain customers by participating in industry fairs and conferences,&#8221; Micha\u0142 explains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The leads we use for outbound come from industry press publishers and from LinkedIn. Additionally, using Wappalyzer or Datanyze, you can purchase a list of online websites that are, for instance, stores created on Magento or Shopify platform, i.e. e-store platforms. That&#8217;s how we build a list of\u00a0our potential customers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, using hunter.io we\u00a0obtain a list of their verified <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e3fb1731\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> addresses. It is important\u00a0to use the verified ones, not to lower the reputation of your <span id=\"urn:enhancement-c4b56ed3\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> address. Databases prepared this way are then used in our cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-6527cf69\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> campaigns, in which we refer to the source of obtaining the prospect&#8217;s contact, company name, and some specific information about the company.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Why did you choose Woodpecker?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;First, I was looking for a follow-up and prospecting feature inside our CRM. We use Base CRM to maintain relations with our customers. We also have various lead sources. So I just asked on several eCommerce industry related groups on Facebook,&#8221; Michal reminisces.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Many of my friends mentioned\u00a0<span id=\"urn:enhancement-25507b1f\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span> as a swift and a well-designed tool for cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-468bd767\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> campaigns. So you don\u2019t need to test them\u00a0for spam issues. You just rely on the reputation of your own domain and <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e4c28ade\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span>,&#8221; Michal points out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The most important thing to me was\u00a0the feature list. I needed typical\u00a0prospecting campaigns, delivery time windows (different hours and timezones), and various prospect statuses (not only subscribed or unsubscribed). <span id=\"urn:enhancement-a7ee1072\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span> automatically verifies the activity of our prospects and adjusts statuses based on their reaction or lack of it.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing I pay attention to when looking for new tools is how intuitive the UI is. And, to be honest, <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e792f53\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>\u00a0really convinced me with its\u00a0friendly and swift interface.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>What does your average cold email campaign look like?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The prospect database size varies from campaign to campaign. We usually split our database into several ones for different campaigns,&#8221; Michal explains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Of course, we do personalize our messages. We believe personalization is\u00a0an essential element of the messages sent to our potential customers. In the age of abundance of information, it is vital that the information sent to potential customers is not random.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We use follow-ups \u2013 scheduling follow-up sequences is a great functionality of <span id=\"urn:enhancement-c781189a\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>. After sending the first message, we usually use 3-4 messages.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What are your results?<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;We started using\u00a0cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-9fcdc341\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> campaigns quite recently\u00a0\u2013 it&#8217;s something new for us, we&#8217;re learning and experimenting. It\u2019s a <span id=\"urn:enhancement-630ceeef\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">sales<\/span> channel that helps you start your outbound outreach\u00a0relatively fast. Cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-ab16f54c\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> is responsible for about\u00a07% of the entire edrone new <span id=\"urn:enhancement-cefcae39\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">business<\/span>. We also run cold calling campaigns, which are making another 5% on average. What is important, the cold calling is something we use\u00a0after a poor response from a cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-62615a5\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span>. So in sum, cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-bd6e50cf\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">emails<\/span> initiate 12% of our new <span id=\"urn:enhancement-4076da70\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">businesses<\/span>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Our\u00a0highest open rate from\u00a0a campaign conducted with\u00a0<span id=\"urn:enhancement-330d1eb7\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span> was over 50%.
